OmniTRAX is one of North America’s largest private railroad and transportation management companies, with 16 regional and short line railroads serving 10 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces. Recently, Christie Consulting approached them about the benefits of Fuelade. Testing is now underway. Stay tuned!
Fuelade, a new diesel fuel catalyst distributed by Fuelade Solutions of Rapid City, South Dakota, recently conducted two independent tests for the government of Sierra Leone, West Africa. Christie Consulting established accurate baselines of diesel fuel usage for several diesel military generators. After a short acclimation period, Fuelade achieved a maximum sustained fuel savings of 45% beyond the established baseline at Camp Hastings and a sustained fuel savings of 33% at the AFTC Camp. This far exceeded the expectations of government officials at both military bases.
Sierra Leone uses 400,000 gallons of diesel fuel each day, primarily for electrical power generation. The potential economic benefit of Fuelade to the country is substantial. Following OSHA Emissions 5-gas testing protocols, substantial reductions in carbon smoke and particulate emissions of at least 33% were also noted and recorded. This translates to an immediate positive health impact on the citizens of Sierra Leone.
“Fuelade management and Sierra Leone government officials are exceedingly pleased with the results,” offered Robert Christie of Christie Consulting, the independent firm that administered and recorded the test results. “These objective results definitively illustrate that dramatic diesel fuel savings and emissions reductions can be achieved. Fuelade is no ordinary fuel additive. It is a totally non-hazoudous green technology. Fuelade clearly addresses today’s problems of increasing fuel prices and concern over the environment. I feel it’s safe to say Fuelade is a breakthrough product.”
In a series of diesel vehicle tests conducted under the direction of the South Dakota National Guard, it was conclusively shown that the new Fuelade combustion enhancer improved fuel economy in M915A4 Freightliner vehicles by an average of 51.5% and reduced hydrocarbon emissions by 90.9%. Average carbon dioxide emissions were reduced by 25.45% and nitrogen oxide emissions were reduced by 5.33%. Conversely, oxygen emissions increased by an average of 4.93%. The tests were conducted during a rigorous three-day examination between June 12th and 15th of this year by the Guard, with this fuel economy being calculated by and reported to Fuelade Technologies, LLC.
These findings corroborate a pattern of favorable results we have witnessed in many other Fuelade case studies conducted during the past several months. We are in the process of on-going research and development in the lab to further validate our case study results. We believe the ramifications of these results for both the military and private sectors are substantial, especially in light of our mission of lessening our dependence on foreign fossil fuels and to reduce emissions.
Emissions tests used in all tests were performed with a Snap-On HHGA4X Hand Held 5 Gas Analyzer. The diesel fuel used was JP8, which is the jet fuel now used in nearly all tactical ground vehicles and electrical generators for the U.S. military. The average baseline for the three vehicles tested was 5.5 mpg. The average mpg for all vehicles increased to 8.33 mpg after the application of Fuelade, a 51.5% improvement.
